Bio
Born and raised in Guatemala City, Eduardo’s love and passion for drums started at the early age of 9 years old. He was quickly playing and learning drum techniques with professional and private drum instructors over summer camps in Guatemala city, whilst learning to apply self-taught techniques by listening and playing along to his favorite records. His musical tastes vary from a wide era of music coming from the 50’s to modern day.
In 2004, at the age of 14, Eduardo started playing professionally at local venues with his first projects around the underground circuit in his home town, along with any other opportunity to perform until he graduated high school.
In 2006, Eduardo’s presence in the Guatemala City music industry expanded, he joined and formed various bands and gained an ample amount of experience playing live shows and recording experience for years to come.
In 2007, he decided to attend College to form part of the ESA school of Art, with ambitions to pursue a Sound Engineering Degree with Musical Performance application. While attending school, he was still very active in the industry. Eduardo was playing with rock bands in the scene, reaching heavy touring experience, served as a drum tech, had TV/Press appearances, and broadened brand interests.
In 2013, Eduardo and his family bravely migrated to the United States (Arizona to be exact.) Him leaving his home country to pursue his dreams, and work hard to gain the experience in different music genres empowered him to reach higher. He began working with assorted bands and playing diverse genres of music, which fostered Eduardo’s networking and exposure to the industry. In 2018, Eduardo began to teach drum lessons to students of all skill levels, beginner to advanced. This is when Eduardo’s love for the art of teaching others began to grow, and he realized how much he loves to share his passion as well, to students of all ages.
